Mission Statement The mission of Community Earth is to build a sustainable, democratic and ecological global society by improving the environment and the social welfare of all living things. In order to achieve these goals this not-for-profit organization facilitates the initiation of projects which are action oriented and constructive. Projects promote peace, equality, free education, ecology and clean/long-lasting technologies while giving members a sense of community through participation in socially responsible actions. True representation is realized by allowing members to democratically influence the direction of the organization. The Basic Structure Community Earth is a border less organization. It is made up of people that organise locally, using the same global structure. Members are not limited by proximity to participate; i.e. they do not need to live in the same area. From this standpoint Community Earth embodies more of a movement than a typical organization. Being a member of Community Earth means taking on responsibility as a steward of the earth. Members volunteer a minimum amount of set hours per month through the Service Co-operative. There are 7 inter working parts that make up the Community Earth Organization. These parts are the Service Co-operative, Resourcary, Voting Sphere, Administration, Accounting Department, Quality Control and the Projects Sphere. Each part operates using a set of procedures, which are written to combat corruption, empower equality and in general allow for the smooth operation of the organisation. These “procedures” can be modified, updated, deleted or added through democratic vote, by the members. This allows Community Earth to be a dynamic force that can evolve with the times. Improving the World One Day at a Time As more land, equipment and materials are obtained and/or donated the need to purchase will constantly be reduced and the more self-sufficient this “borderless community” will become.
