Well versed in the issues that are affecting our society and planet, Ivan Tattoli has a genuine drive to see human ingenuity put into ethical, beneficial use. He has always been inquisitive and experimental - a true student of life and an idea generating machine. Ivan Tattoli thinks "outside of the box" turning barriers into bridges with dynamic strategies. His inherently optimistic nature is balanced by "logic" based reasoning. Ivan Tattoli likes to work with his hands as much as with his mind and concentrates on creative constructive actions in solving modern conundrums.

Ivan believes in a balance and respect for all living things. To this end he has lived frugally for many years and adapts himself quite easily to change. A believer in an alternative economy where freedom, equality and respect for the environment is the built in modus operatum.

Past accomplishments and experiences proving Ivan Tattoli's potential as a great Social Entrepreneur are:

  • Work experience in many domains including cinema, tourism, manufacturing, construction and horticulture;

  • As early as 12 years of age he was writing poetry, playing strategy games and holding down part time jobs;

  • Exploring new places and attending scouts were important parts of his young life;

  • By 15 he had created many games, including an elaborate role playing game named "prison world", which his peers much enjoyed;

  • Graduated from high school with majors in English, History and Geography;

  • Researched, wrote and self published on a small scale an alternative economy paper entitled Universalism (1992 & then Revised 2001, 2003);

  • Graduated from Vancouver Film School;

  • Volunteered as a firefighter in the British Columbia interior;

  • Back packed, worked and absorbed cultures for 1 year throughout Europe and North Africa;

  • Self experimented with religious groups and with altered states of mind;

  • Worked for two contracts on Cruise ships which in his words are "microcosms of the real world";

  • Took part in protests against NAFTA, WTO and the war on terror;

  • Creator and director of Community Earth Organization (a volunteer based NPO) which successfully executed 4 projects to date. The SEF is the latest brain child.

  • Started an organic / ecological farm and lived from this labor for 3 years, proving that even in this day and age one can live as a farmer, without compromising values in an industrial country;

  • Experience in building with alternative construction methods, esp. Cob, Hemp and Straw bale techniques;

  • Computer literate with basic programming skills (HTML, FileMaker Pro (database creation), MSOffice);

  • Fluent in English & French and able to communicate in Spanish and Italian.

  • Soccer, indoor mountain climbing, hiking and cycling are some of the physical hobbies that he enjoys. He also enjoys debating, problem solving, reading and music.

Ivan is now 33 years young and primed to succeed.
